Yael Meyer

Yael Meyer was born in Santiago, Chile and moved to the United States when she was nineteen. She studied classical piano from the age of five. Growing up she was also heavily influenced by indie folk music from the 70's and pop influences from the 80's and 90's. Her parents, both aficionado artists and musicians encouraged and nurtured her creativity and musicality. At the age 13 she began playing guitar and writing her own songs as well as performing them live in festivals around the city. In 2000, after receiving a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music she moved to the U.S. where she currently resides. She often collaborates with other artists, songwriters and filmmakers. She also plays various instruments including guitar, piano, glockenspiel, bass guitar, percussion and ukulele.
Yael's new EP "Heartbeat" was recorded in Los Angeles and produced by Bill Lefler (Ingrid Michaelson, Tim Myers, Fall Out Boy, Gym Class Heroes). It includes guest appearances by Danny Levin on trumpet (Lenka), Fil Krohnengold on acoustic guitar and accordion (Meiko) and Joseph Karnes on bass (Jesca Hoop).
You can buy it from all around the world on iTunes, Amazon MP3 and www.yaelmeyermusic.com/music

I LOVE UVUMI :) and everyone here...though I am fairly new so I'm not sure yet of what's the way to be more active on the site...if anyone has any tips...I'd appreciate them!
I think posting new music is a way to be more active, not sure what you mean by that. But I do like to be around and checking friends profile to see what they're listening and commenting and posting messages on their profiles too even if it's just to say hello. :)
Cheers!
