Timmy Hoover is one the most dynamic and fascinating, up and coming, singer-song writers in all of Southern California. While being a notable former member of such local rock/reggae favorites as Timmy Hoover and the Catfish and a Conscious Few, as well as an active member of the classic Psychedelic rock monster group, The Republic and front man for the Country/blues/rock band, Reefer Canyon, Timmy Hoover is most at home as a solo acoustic performer. He has been thoroughly absorbing the song writing techniques of such legends as Richard Thompson, Warren Zevon, Robert Hunter, Neil Young and Bob Dylan for nearly his entire life. While managing to pay tribute to his hero's he has, at the same time, developed his own unique writing style that is as straight from the heart as it gets. While most solo acoustic performers seem to focus on developing a polished persona and false rapport with their audience, True music lovers will be far more captivated and respectful of Timmy Hoover's honest, gritty, and down to earth lyrics and guitar stylings. A born cafe and barroom favorite, Ya can't help but love the guy.

Listening to "Like A Rolling Stone" from Garden Grove.
Who said they have a Classic sound? Nice!
Yes they do. The sound just pulsates that psychedelic gyration. And one of the truly great dance bands of all time.
Hoover is great, but listen to the bass.
Alan Aton, eat your heart out. :)
