ReportRichard JohnRichard John

  • Location: Exeter, United Kingdom

I'm a songwriter and guitarist from the south west of England.
I write acoustic based tunes with touches of electronica.
My music is always driven by melody and shifts from style to style with my many musical obsessions; from bossa nova, experimental electronic, alt country and folk, to lounge music and feel good pop.

High quality, downloadable versions of my tunes can be found at Bandcamp:

I was just thinking about you the other day.
Its great to hear a new one from you.
I lean to melancholy anyway, so its right up my alley. Great job! I really like it : )

Last night and put them on my MP3 player. Now I have Richard John to go! :-)

Put up a new version of The Girl in Number Six this AM (my time; OK, this evening for you). Think it's improved from the original one. Continued adding keyboards to stuff, which is fun.

Yes, please. I would do that. Oh yes, I would. Really evocative--takes me to a place I really like to visit. Imaginative, fun, colorful, interesting. If this were in a videogame, I'd play it all day long. (BTW, if you have any interest in placing your music in games, I may know a couple people.)

I know this is long overdue, but just wanted you to know that I really like Snowflake in the Desert!
I'm not predisposed to the Banjo, but between you, Bela Fleck, and David Eugene Edwards, this is changing : )
