Lyrics

Another Lover Reggie Miles © 2008

You used to love me, yesterday.
But now you left me, you've gone away.
So I've been searchin', the lonely night through.
Lookin' for another lover like you.

Another lover,
Someone who won't leave me 'lone and blue,
Another lover,
Who can love me like you used to do.

When we met, I lost control.
You hypnotized me, stole my soul.
You chewed me up, and now you're spittin' me out.
I was a fool, and there's no doubt.

I need a lover,
Someone who won't leave me 'lone and blue,
Another lover,
Who can love me like you used to do.

Love's a gamble, every day.
Get what you give, that's what they say.
You want to leave me. You don't have to linger.
Gave you my ring, you just gave me the finger.

I need a lover,
Someone who won't leave me 'lone and blue,
Another lover,
Who can love me like you used to do.

This song was written about the cultural onslaught of corporate entertainment

This bottleneck slide blues was played using an acoustic, six string, flattop guitar, a late 1930s, Gibson made, Kalamazoo. I found this treasure at a yard sale for $40. For this song I tuned my guitar to a modified open "E" tuning.

This song was recorded direct to digital media with no over dubs and only minimal processing, for your listening pleasure. Recorded, edited and mastered by Marc Willet at Falcon Audio in Sultan, WA
