My name is Ray Li, and I am a high school student who has never studied music. I've always felt a special connection with music, but it wasn't until two years ago that I actually sat down and tried my hand at composing. From that day on I have been working on new songs almost continuously. Everything I know I've taught myself through experimentation and improvising on the piano. It's been a rough ride, but I've enjoyed every bit of it and I think I've finally settled into my own style.

I really hope that you enjoy my work. If you do, please tell your friends. I could use some help promoting my work.

Thanks a lot for reminding me! I think I didn't listen them all so I'm gonna do it now and also tag them. I've also shared you on my group but they're quite inactive these days, but I guess we'll restart our activities soon. We just love a lot classical music! And yours have a cinematic/epic mood, one of my favorites! Did you ever scored a movie or something like that?

Cool, thanks :). As for a movie, haha, I wish. Perhaps someday I will be able to do that. It would be amazing :).

Thanks so much :)! I'm so glad that people on this site are enjoying my music. I was extremely surprised and pleased to see my own song "When the Fighting Stops" in the top 20 songs in the classical charts! Thanks for helping to make that possible :).

Wow, they're some great compositions you've got there. I listened to Breathe which I thought was a little Nymanesque (I LOVE Nyman), and now I'm listening to the whole album. I'm often a little unsure about classical music with beats, but this is really epic!

There's some other really great independent classical composers on this site - checking out the classical chart is a good place to start. Anyway welcome to Uvumi, good to have you here :-)

Wow, thanks for the positive feedback! I'm really glad you enjoyed my music. Your comment just made my day :). Haha, I really wasn't expecting anyone to listen to my stuff after just making this Uvumi account just a few hours ago. How did you chance upon my Uvumi account?

well I am on this site most days listening to music, so I usually browse the new uploads by going to 'songs' (the little musical note icon on the bar at the top right) and sorting it by date order. Just to see what new stuff there is of interest that day. Even though this site is in a relatively early stage of development it's got some pretty neat functionality. It's worth playing about with stuff to get a feel for what you can do. Also the site's blog (link at the very bottom of the page) is useful for finding out more about the site.
