Chewing Gum For The Ears: Recommended Artist: Quiet Company
The band makes infectious 90s-esque piano-rock packed with melody and a positive outlook that makes the record's 15 songs a great soundtrack for ushering in sunnier days and warm summer nights.http://chewinggumfortheears.blogspot.com/2009/03/recommended-artist-quiet-company.html

east austinite » Sounds: Quiet Company CD Release at Mohawk
If we had to compare them to someone, it might be a happier and peppier Cold War Kids. It may only be me that draws that comparison, but regardless, it's a good band to be compared to. The bottom line is that this is a solid album and the CD release this Friday should be a good one. Check it out if you feel like a night of good music is in your future. -
Quiet Company CD Release this Friday at The Mohawk « The Do512 Blog
Have you heard Quiet Company yet? If not you may be like, the only person in town who hasn't. The pop infused rock group has been making a name for themselves around town for a little bit of awhile now and with every show they have been clearly gaining popularity. I would imagine this CD is a welcome one for many a fan here in town. This Friday you can catch the guys with The Rocketboys (formerly Homer Hiccolm and the Rocketboys), Jets Under Fire, and Plants & Animals at The Mohawk. Do512 is hooking up one winner with a free pair of tickets and CDs from each of the performing acts. You know what to do, yes?http://do512.wordpress.com/2009/03/04/quiet-company-cd-release-this-friday-at-the-mohawk/

Quiet Company : Hey Hey My My
For those trying to find a point of entry into this music some obvious reference points might be the likes of Ben Folds Five, They Might Be Giants, and three bands from three different decades Squeeze, Lets Active and The Arcade Fire. That's a big diversity of comparisons but what they all have in common is a ear for a delicious pop melody and a willingness to look a little further afield for songwriting subject matter. -
Side One: Track One - March 2009
Below is my favorite track off the new album, The Beginning of Everything At The End of the World, which sounds a bit like a souped-up Grandaddy. Enjoy this track and you'll likely enjoy the rest of the album, which I believe you can purchase only from the band's flashy internet website. -
Snob's Music: Quiet Company: "Everyone You Love Will Be Happy Soon"- album review
You aren't going to get a lot of sonic tricks with Quiet Company. But when the songs are this well crafted, you don't need the gimmicks.http://www.snobsmusic.net/2009/03/quiet-company-everyone-you-love-will-be.html

Tuesday Morning 3am
So here's the deal. You can hear a bunch of songs from the new record here. If you like it, you can buy it here. Last time, I favorably compared Taylor Muse to Paul Simon, and this time, I've given his record a better review than U2's. That should tell you something. Click over and check it out. You won't regret it.
