KIDDEAUX is a NYC-based artist who splits her time between NY, Miami and Copenhagen. A classically-trained pianist, Kiddeaux writes her own lyrics and melodies and her music is in the vein of Sneaker Pimps/Portishead/Massive Attack -- sexy, sensual vocals over loops, beats and electronic elements.

Diana Pops grew up in a musical household on the Winnipeg prairie. Well, musical, if you count her mother singing Credence Clearwater Revival tunes while folding the laundry, or her father playing the one Irish folk song he knew on the banjo, “Boil Them Cabbage Down.” But, like all parents who dream of seeing their offspring do better, they filled their living room with a weather-beaten upright piano – an old soul with whom Diana was instantly smitten.

Her parents tried their best to diversify Diana’s musical interests by placing her in the children’s choir at the tender age of eight; but, the first cut was the deepest. The piano continued to be the weapon of choice for the fledgling troubadour, who also soon began enduring the universal pain of adolescence. “By the time I hit my teens, I was also hit by the ugly stick,” Diana laughs. “But I figured – if I wasn’t going to be the ‘pretty girl’ – damned if I wasn’t going to be the ‘talented girl.’ It was like an obsession. My real life became the stories I told in my songs.”

This musical obsession paid quick dividends. By 17, Diana had a song recorded by nationally acclaimed Canadian folk singer Steve Bell. She went on to sign with a small independent label, do a national tour, and eventually cross paths with another musical soul-mate, Juno Award-winning producer Adrian Bradford. Before she knew it, she was in Nashville; and soon after, in Los Angeles making demos for Aware Records. “I was thrown right in,” Diana muses. “From the prairie to L.A. – that’s quite a jump.”

During this soul-searching sojourn, Diana churned out some of her most emotionally threadbare work to date, including “Light My Cigarette,” a shell-shocked goodbye to the seclusion of Winnipeg, disguised as a love song. Other notable works from this period include “Silver Ship” and “The End Begins.” It was a time of exploration, as well as a time of building alliances with early fans like mixer Bryan Cook and legendary songwriter Walter Afanasieff.

But, after a year, Diana returned to Winnipeg, fretful that she had left something crucial behind. “I threw myself into the mindset of ‘a day’s work for a day’s pay,’’ she says, describing her forays into painting, remodeling – even welding. “But in the back of my mind was always the question, ‘How long ‘til I’m doing music again?’”

What Diana discovered is that she exists somewhere between the prairies of Canada and the streets of L.A. And, this newfound harmony can be found on her EP, For Bright Minds In Dark Corners. “It’s a simple phrase, but it says so much about me,” Diana confides. “I’m the girl who is more than happy to lock herself away with a piano and a notebook and hide from the world.” But, luckily for us, every now and then, Diana Pops comes out to play.

Anni T is the 21 year old singer/composer/producer behind KiD A. This Virginia (US) based artist brings us a masterful mash-up of club, electro, glam and alt dance. With her debut single ('wasnotwas') already receiving recognition from the likes of The Sunday Times and Music Week, KiD A is already on the lips of the people who do the talking.

Raised on jazz as a child, by her teenage years she was blaring out anything from Brian Eno to The Cure. When it came to her picking up the mic herself, that was a slightly different story: "I was in a band at school, and we needed a singer. We all chose straws. Mine was the shortest of them all."

She recently stepped into the studio with Dan Le Sac to finish her debut EP "In A Dream House, We All Ride Carousels". With this due for release in 2010, KiD A is already on the lips of the people who do the talking.

After being chosen as MTV's artist of the week and Humble Voice's artist of the month, it is no wonder that in the past year alone KiD A has performed with the likes of: The Cool Kids, Girltalk, CED Hughes and Danger.

With a sound that can't really be defined- nor should it, KiD A is about blending everything you ever loved about music into a proverbial buffet of awesome. KiD A is about having fun…in a tortured, sultry sort of way.

I grew up in Roberta, Georgia (pop. 808)...

I'd have to say my biggest influence is my dad. He played guitar and sang for me ever since I was a baby. His music was the only thing I ever listened to as a kid.

And...Whoever bought me that Mariah Carey tape "Emotions" did me a huge favor... I would practice singing to her every day. I owe my lucky ear to my dad and that tape.

The first time I sang in public was at an all black Southern Baptist church on Christmas eve when I was 8. For some reason I decided to sing "White Christmas..." I just recently realized the humor in that -- but luckily at the time, everyone thought it was cute...

Soon after, I started singing in talent shows and would do the National Anthem for opening day of little league baseball.

I would always act like i could play my dads Gibson -- 'till he was getting pissed that I kept knocking it around...So he bought me my very own guitar when I was 13. As soon as i learned a new chord -- i wrote a new song...And thats pretty much how it goes.

Oren Lavie is a songwriter, singer, and author of funny books for sad children. He has long curly hair, green eyes, and suspiciously cold feet. He was born in 1976, two minutes behind schedule, and has been trying to catch up ever since.

The Opposite Side of The Sea, Oren's debut album, was released on his label, A Quarter Past Wonderful.

His music video for the track "Her Morning Elegance" has become an international sensation with over 10 million hits on YouTube to date, breaking YouTube's most highly rated video record.

"Her Morning Elegance" was also featured in a Chevrolet TV commercial. The surprised songwriter, who has never owned a car, and who has lovingly ignored the invention of the Television, could not stop giggling for days. With a song in his heart he continues to take the bus.

Oren's song, "A Dance 'Round The Memory Tree", was featured in the Disney movie, "The Narnia Chronicles: Prince Caspian", which was a huge international flop.

In November 2009, Oren was announced the winner of the ASCAP Foundation Award for Best Lyricist.

He is currently working on a new book for children, a new album, and a new haircut.
