Lyrics
Wandering, sees the sun, verging towards the horizon
He treasures it, this maybe his last one
Mornings' let him pass, his days just will not last
The seasons are dying much too fast
Alone, tears filled his eyes though the stars still glister in the sky
Expectations have failed to materialise
Love songs and fairy tales
They are now of no avail
To one who's lost in the doleful sound of distant bells
Life's a vicious circle and the game is sure not worth the candle
Before long comes the sunset
Lost in thoughts with deep regrets
For he has frittered his life away
(Chorus)
He appreciates his parents for all they've given him
Sorry to say he cannot fulfill their dreams
He let carried away by reminiscence of old days
Tomorrow's light is fading away
- Instrumental break -
Soon all will end
No time for him to make amend
They'll miss him, they will miss him
- Repeat chorus -
Things so dear once and worthless they become

Michael Lynn - Fading Light

Fading Light
- Title: Fading Light
- Artist: Michael Lynn
- Duration: 00:04:59
- Played: 31
- Date Recorded: 2010
This was actually written long time ago. I dug it out recently and decided to revive it. I kept the main melody, revised the lyrics and gave it a brand new arrangement. It is about a person who's reaching the end of his life. Looking back, I really don't know why I wrote such a dismal song in those days when I was very young. So, just hope you like the song.
