Hello, my name is Liam. I live in Northampton, England. I used to be in a band called The HaveNots. I wasted the last 3 years of my life making a record with my friend Lee. The songs on this page are taken from that album. it is called "Making History" Maybe even one day you will be able to buy it and listen to it in your car driving to the beach with someone you love XO

reviews......

"He does sadness so well, i think he might actually be enjoying it. I am"

- Dogdem Logic (Dec 2009)

"Since the Havenots split sightings of Liam Dullaghan have been rare, but he's clearly been busy as he has a 22 (count 'em!) track album available tonight, and for a paltry fiver too. However, regardless of his prowess in the studio he's always been a wilfully perverse live artist and tonight's gig is no exception. He's third on the bill, playing to a Friday night audience who are there solely for the Redlands Palomino Company and intend, as Friday night audiences do, to get as tanked up as possible as noisily as possible beforehand. Clearly that's not challenge enough though, as he's off-mike throughout, fumbles through the material, and sings and plays in the most lo-fi way imaginable. But get past all that, and I know it's a big ask, and both the songs and the presentation are deeply moving and impressive. He opens with a cover of "Light Enough To Travel", made famous by the Be Good Tanyas, that is as far beyond desolate as Pete Docherty is beyond hope. It's simply awesome, and the songs that follow, a mixture of new and old plus a couple from the un-released Havenots third album (Circus 65, get it out now!) are right up there with it. His voice is cracked and aching, barely getting the words out at times, his guitar playing as though every string plucked causes him physical pain, but his muse is alive and flourishing, and will hopefully emerge from the darkness more often, and to more appreciative audiences, sooner rather than later"

.........................

"When a man's an empty kettle he should be on his mettle,
And yet I'm torn apart.
Just because I'm presumin' that I could be kind-a-human,
If I only had heart.
I'd be tender - I'd be gentle and awful sentimental
Regarding Love and Art.
I'd be friends with the sparrows ...
and the boys who shoots the arrows
If I only had a heart.
Picture me - a balcony. Above a voice sings low.
Wherefore art thou, Romeo? I hear a beat....
How sweet.
Just to register emotion, jealousy - devotion,
And really feel the part.
I could stay young and chipper
and I'd lock it with a zipper,
If I only had a heart"
