      • 16:52 - mitch808: Great message. There are a lot of things that made T61 a pretty cool place, but the most important was always THE MUSIC and, of course, the interaction between artists and listeners. Having La Forza here means a lot to me and, I'm sure, many other T61 refugees. I can't wait to hear your new stuff!

    Hey Everybody,
This is Douglas from La Forza. We want to thank all of you for showing us this new site- we too, were experiencing an intense case of chapel perilous. There is no doubt that the new, and I'd like to add, unexpected version of t61 managed to eliminate every aspect of what we enjoyed about it, and brought to the forefront the least interesting parts of the site to us. We enjoyed searching for new music, finding listeners with musical tastes similar to ours, and following the endless labyrinth of music, both amazing and oddly not amazing, to discover music that we would otherwise never have heard. I fell in love with some of the music I found there.

From an artist's perspective, I just wanted to make it clear that as you all know, there are a lot of music sites on the web, and as a band, you have to get involved in as many as possible- from independent radio programs to last.fm, to download/sales sites to facebook & myspace. Of all the sites we found out about, t61 was my favorite. Although we stayed at a distance to not seem pushy about pushing our music, we did have a couple friends that you all interacted with that loved it as well, and they started out simply to support our music, not knowing what they would find. What we all found was a site that gave a great way of finding new music and interacting with people all over the world with a central focus on a part of all our lives- music. Independent music made by professionals and non-professionals alike. Label bands right next to a 14 year old recording their first song on their computer at home- both with the same chance to be heard. Beautiful! It offered the unique chance for listeners and artist to be on equal terms- actually- in many cases, the listeners were actually on stage, and the band members were in the audience learning the ways of the site from them, and being humbled and warmly welcomed upon entering a new world. What a unique place.

After the t61 fiasco, I know that our friends MyLeftFoot (yoda w/ a boombox) and MusicSaves ("Say Anything" Jesus-style), are not taking the plunge to uvumi... MusicSaves is the one who found this site and set up our accounts for us- for those of you who received messages from us on that first night, that was from him and he says Hi!! For this site, we'd like to be more interactive than we were on t61. Looking forward to meeting more of you, and discovering lovely new music with you! I just wanted to check in, introduce myself & Divina, and let you know that we look forward to another new beginning!

And also, just to let you know, to celebrate the new site, we're finishing some new demo mixes for our next album, The Plane of Bliss, and although they won't be master quality, they will be impassioned and ready for new ears, and we would like to share those here first.

    Thanks for reading!
