  • blog post Report Studio Diary & Live Broadcasts (ps: Happy New Year)

    Posted on Jan 16, 2011 - 20:00 by iamnotdaniel
    Hey folks,

we hope you all had a wonderful time over the holidays, and are enjoying a running start to 2011.

Between technical difficulies and unexpected weather, we're acutely aware of how quiet we've been these past few weeks. But no more! We're happy announce that you can now follow us and our time at the studio here:

We've already included a photo tour, with live broadcasts of rehearsals and recording planned for the weeks ahead. In fact, our first test broadcast of rehearsals will start tomorrow 17th January, shortly after 15:00 GMT.

For those of you who are in work or have a slower connection, we can tell you we've finalised the tracklisting for the album, with some old favourites we wanted to revisit, and some brand new songs to show the direction we're moving in.

All in all, we've been genuinely touched by the sheer volume of support and encouragement we've received from you all throughout 2010. We're really looking forward to recording this first album, and living up to the potential you've all seen in us these past twelve months.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. We can't wait to see what happens in the year ahead.

    Love, respect and happiest wishes

    Kathryn, Daniel & Benji
  • blog post Report March Newsletter: SliceThePie Explained and Irish Airwaves Assaulted!

    Posted on Mar 10, 2010 - 3:30 by iamnotdaniel
    Hey folks,

Well it's March and great things are afoot, but sadly not literally us. We do have some exciting updates for you though:

Firstly, we've great news on the fundraising front. For those of you who missed the previous update, we're aiming to raise £15,000 over the next 9 months, with the help of SliceThePie.com. We've a full Q&A explaining everything which you can read at:

To show our commitment, we're going to be putting up something new on our website and facebook page, every week. These things will range from live tracks, rarities and videos, to covers of songs that inspire us and anything else fun that we can think up. The first one is on the website right now, go look:

Secondly, we're delighted to announce that we've begun working with the lovely people at Good Seed PR to bring Time To Leave to the airwaves across Ireland. We'll keep you posted on how we get on and when you can activate your banks of robocalls to target a lonely one-man radio-station in the middle of County Westmeath. This will all culminate with a full-band tour of Ireland in May, we'll let you know the dates as soon as we have them.

Finally however, we've had to cancel our Irish Acoustic Tour that was meant to be coming up later this month. At the moment we're having some positive words with the U.S. authorities as to whether they'll let us go and tour there in September/October, but sadly it means they want to hold on tightly to our passports for just a little too long, and we won't be allowed out of Merry England till we get them back. Apologies to anyone who was coming along, but we hope to see you in May.

Don't forget we'll be posting something new for you on the website every Sunday, so stay tuned!

    Take care,

    - Kathryn, Daniel & Benji
  • blog post Report Our New EP

    Posted on Jan 27, 2010 - 14:00 by iamnotdaniel
We've recently finished our second EP, Time To Leave, and we're really proud of it. To listen to both our EPs, go here. You can download the first two tracks of each EP for free. If you can afford it please buy the rest, or the bits that you like, depending on your means.

We don't really know what music is worth - there isn't really a direct correlation between money and music, as far as we can see. But at least be assured that you'll be keeping our heads above water. Your money will go towards rehearsal space, mastering costs, instrument repairs, petrol, website costs, and if there's any left over, cake. In other words, everything we need to make more music, and to play it for you.

We've no record label with deep pockets to bail us out if we get into trouble, it's just us and the people that want to hear our music. We'd appreciate if you'd sign up for our mailing list as well, by clicking here. Or you can stay in touch with us at other places, via the links at the bottom.

Thanks for all your support - and please, if you like our songs, share them.

    - Kathryn, Daniel and Benji
