I consider music both a language, and a vehicle of/for worship.

Musicians who I believe embody this approach include
Lisa Gerrard,
Evelyn Glennie,
Joanne Gabriel,
Kate Bush...

My endeavors in organized sound began when I chose to score personal video works.
I find inspiration in both man-made, and naturally occurring sound.

Brian Eno, John Cage, Pierre Schaeffer,
are among those I cite as influential
(though if you peruse my influences column,
I'm trying to list everyone/everything
who've made a positive sonic impression on me).

To summarize, I don't know what to think regarding the comeback announcement. Is the late t61 community only aware of it?
For now, I'll keep observing, and if there's a wave to surf, I'll surf it. :)

    Bandcamp/Soundcloud :
I'm not doing much there. :)
My latest albums are hosted on BC, and that's all. As for SC, well, I haven't changed my mind : this system doesn't suit my needs. I'll upload a song from time to time, interact politely with people who visit my page, and that's it.
If you want updates, look for them on my blog. I've made it my headquarters. I even share my new songs there, using youtube's unlisted videos integration.

Where are you? Do you listen somewhere? Did you share your T61 songs on other sites?

Yes, I'm alerted when you reply on your own wall ; but I've exchanged quite a few comments with another user in the past days, and our experience with the reply functionality wasn't conclusive (in the end, it became so confusing that we decided to not use the reply mode, and to do wall-to-wall commenting only).

Re increased traffic and development : I wonder how much active this community is. I've been observing the site for a couple of weeks, and interacted with only you and another listener. I don't listen much, because I want to be able to discover (i.e. hear random music that doesn't necessarily appear in others' playlists or in charts).
As an artist, the site is even less appealing : the tagging system will certainly not help "catcore" tracks in gaining exposure. And there's no obvious way to find who listened (and liked) a song.
Limited space encourages the artists to delete their tracks, to make room for newer ones. In the past days, I've deleted a bunch of songs and a whole band account, that seemed to be dormant. I realized only after that I had broken listeners' playlists, and that some songs were enjoyed, although they had no comments, or no additional tags.

I'm all over the place at the moment (which doesn't help with keeping focused.) :)

I love the social features of this site, but I'm going to run out of space for my uploads in no time. :'(

I hope that increased traffic inspires Marshall to again focus on this site's development. Here's hoping.
Btw, it's good to see you pressing on. I need to log onto your Bandcamp and Soundcloud accounts to see what you're doing there. I had a Soundcloud Pro account once, the basic pro tier. I was happy, but as I went on a hiatus of sorts, it didn't make sense to me to continue it as a storage unit for old work. I may change my mind soon after I see what this year's 50/90 renders.

    Tea
    Left by geronimodeleon, on May 5, 2011 - 23:52
I finally made the effort to record one of the tea urns we use at the church congregation I attend. I've posted a minimally produced version of the recording, leaving the urn to showcase itself. A five minute raw segment of this recording has been posted to the FOOD Band page in the album "bits." As is common practice, the sample is "open source" for the interested.

      Thanks for the update.
Hope you don't take offense at the suggestion,
but it occurred to me that this would segue well into "Something Fine" by Jackson Browne.
Beautiful tune; fit (in my mind) for a roadtrip through the plains.
