I am a bass player from the Baltimore area who recently moved to Austin, TX. I just graduated from college with a B.A. in music. I play all types of music but some of my favorites are Jazz, Rock, Jam, and Fusion. I love to play music and am looking to play as much as possible while in the Austin area. I'd really like to find a funk/fusion group to play with down here if anyone is interested. Some of the music I listen to mainly include The Grateful Dead, Umphreys Mcgee, Phish, Coltrane, Steve Kimock, and Jaco Pastorious. Other specific bass influences include Scott Lafaro, Charles Mingus, and Paul Chambers. If you like any of those artist send me a shout I really want to meet some people with similar musical tastes. Even if your already in a group, just to hand out with like minded musicians/ people who like to have a good time!

I'm currently in the process of getting together music to record my first session as a leader. I plan on playing mostly upright, and exploring some of the great standards of jazz music as well as a few other songs.
